(a) the top 4 players on the LET Solheim Cup points ranking at the end of the Qualifying Period, based on Solheim Cup points accumulated from all Ranking Events during the Qualifying Period. In the event of a tie (equal points), placings shall be determined in favour of the player with the higher ranking on the Rolex Women’s World Rankings at the end of the Qualifying Period; and

(b) the top 4 LET members appearing on the Rolex Women’s World Rankings at the end of the Qualifying Period who are not already qualified under (a) above. In the event of a tie (equal points), placings shall be determined in favour of the player with the higher ranking on the LET Solheim Cup points ranking at the end of the Qualifying Period; and

(c) a further 4 LET members selected by the European Solheim Cup Team Captain.

Qualifying Period: The Qualifying Period shall begin on the date of the first Ranking Event after the 2011 Solheim Cup (Lacoste Ladies Open de France, 29th Sept-2 Oct 2011) and shall end on a date to be confirmed by the Ladies European Tour following the publication of the official LET tournament schedule for 2013.

Ranking Events: Ranking Events are those tournaments which take place during the Qualifying Period and are designated as such by the Ladies European Tour on the date of publication of the official LET tournament schedule for each of 2012 and 2013.

LET Solheim Cup points: LET Solheim Cup points shall be awarded to the top 10 participants at each Ranking Event and to the top 20 participants at each Major Championship as referred to below:

1. In the period between 29/9/11 and 31/12/12 Solheim Cup points shall be awarded as follows:

   1. at each Ranking Event with a prize fund of less than €750,000 in accordance with the “Standard Distribution” as set out in the middle column of Distribution Table A set out below;

   2. at each Ranking Event with a prize fund of €750,000 or more (excluding the Major Championships) Solheim Cup points shall be weighted on the basis of 1.5:1 to the “Standard Distribution” as set out in the middle column of Distribution Table B set out below;

   3. at each Major Championship in accordance with the ‘Major Championship Distribution’ as set out in the middle column of Distribution Table C set out below.

2. In the period from 1/1/13 to the end of the Qualifying Period each Ranking Event and Major Championship shall receive an additional weighting on the basis of 2:1 to the Solheim Cup points awarded in the period between 29/9/11 and 31/12/12 as set out in the right hand column of the appropriate Distribution Tables A, B and C.

The following Ranking Events shall be designated as Major Championships:

- Women’s British Open
- Evian Masters
- US Women’s Open*
- Kraft Nabisco Championship*
- LPGA Championship*

* NB – participation in these Ranking Events will NOT count towards the eligibility criterion for participation in 6 Ranking Events during the Qualifying Period.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for selection, a player must:

1. be a member of the Ladies European Tour in any class or category of membership. Non-members are not eligible;
2. have played in 6 (six) Ranking Events during the Qualifying Period as a member of the Ladies European Tour, unless selected as a Captain’s pick (provided she is otherwise eligible);
3. be a European national, which shall be taken to mean:

EITHER:

(i) born in a European country; and

(ii) holds a current passport of that European country;

OR:

(i) has been naturalised as a citizen of a European country;

(ii) has held a current passport of that European country for the immediately preceding four (4) consecutive years;

(iii) has resided in that European country for the immediately preceding four (4) consecutive years.

A European country is a nation situated in the continent of Europe and is recognised as an independent state by the United Nations.

Any player who holds dual nationality (of which one shall be the nationality of a European country) shall elect on joining the Ladies European Tour in each of 2012 and 2013 whether she wishes to be eligible for selection for the 2013 European Solheim Cup Team.

Notes

(a) LET Solheim Cup points can only be earned by a player from the date on which she becomes eligible pursuant to criterion (1) above.

(b) In the event that any player sustains an injury or becomes ill or is otherwise unavailable to play for the 2013 European Solheim Cup Team, (which shall be determined by LET in its absolute discretion) the player will be replaced by a player who fulfils the criteria set out above and who shall be selected by the European Solheim Cup Team Captain.
