The 2012 golf season is over. Due to a back injury, I unfortunately did not get to play much golf for a portion of the summer but once I got back on the course in October, I sure enjoyed it! I ended up the season playing a few events on the Legends Tour, which is always so much fun. I love catching up with old friends and feeling the competitive juices flowing. Great to see my good friend Laura Davies win first time out at the Handa Legends Tour Open Championship! But nothing is as competitive as the race to the Solheim Cup! It has been a great season for many of the girls. The standings at the yearend are the following:

It is a close race and with double points in 2013 anything can happen! It will be exciting to follow the players more closely. I am looking forward to be travelling to events in the US and Europe.
Speaking about travelling to Europe, I will be spending the holidays in Sweden this year. It will be a traditional Swedish Christmas with family and friends. Our Christmas tree will light up the house and gifts will be under the tree. I am looking forward to the " Jul Bord", our traditional Christmas meal. It is filled with everything from ham, meatballs and herring to Jansons frestelse--a special potato dish with onions, cream and anchovies. Another Swedish specialty is a spiced wine called “Glogg”.
It is served warm, with raisins, almond and cinnamon stick. It really warms you up on a cold winter night. With all the eating and drinking we do around this time of year, I always make sure to get my share of exercise. I love to go skiing or snowshoeing. In addition, I try to get into the gym at least two to three times a week. I also love going for long walks when it is snowing hard.
